MF GLOBAL SIPC LIQUIDATION

Lax & Neville, LLP has been retained by many customers of MF Global, Inc. to represent them in the pending SIPC liquidation. After the filing of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy by MF Global, Inc.’s parent company, MF Global Holdings Ltd., James W. Giddens was appointed as the SIPC Trustee tasked with affording MF Global Inc. customers the protection afforded by the Bankruptcy Code, the Securities Investor Protection Act of 1970 and Commodities Futures Trading Commission Regulations. Currently, the Trustee is establishing and implementing policies and procedures that will guide customers through filing claims for relief. Lax & Neville, LLP has met and conferred with counsel for the Trustee, Hughes Hubbard & Reed, LLP, to discuss the various provisions and procedures that may be implemented in the SIPC claim process. MF Global customers will soon be able to file claims seeking the recovery of their customer property. While the Trustee and securities regulators continue to reconcile the books and records of MF Global, Inc. to locate the funds missing from the segregated accounts, we believe it is strategically best for MF Global customers to retain counsel in order to guide them through the bankruptcy process. Lax & Neville has substantial experience in SIPC liquidations. If you hold an account at MF Global, please contact Lax & Neville, LLP to discuss your potential remedies and basis for relief.
